THDCIL-IKCA Academy Brings Laurel to India with 3 Gold and 5 Silver Medals at Asian Canoe Sprint Cup

Rishikesh, 24 January 2025: CMD Mr. R.K. Vishnoi announced that THDCIL-IKCA High-Performance Academy has brought pride to the nation by winning 3 Gold and 5 Silver medals at the Asian Canoe Sprint Cup held in Hong Kong from 11th to 13th January 2025. The event showcased the exceptional talent of Indian athletes, reflecting the academy’s commitment to excellence in sports.

Mr. Vishnoi expressed heartfelt congratulations, stating, “These achievements highlight THDCIL’s dedication to holistic development—not just in energy generation but also in socio-economic initiatives like women empowerment, impactful CSR programs, and sports.”

Among the top performers, Parvathy G won gold in both the K1 200M and K2 500M categories, while Ph. Gyaneshwor Singh secured gold in the C1 500M. Silver medalists included L. Naocha Singh, Vishnu Reghunath, Prohit Baroi, Arjun Singh, and Ch. Devabrata Singh, showcasing a strong team effort.

Director (Personnel) Sh. Shallinder Singh highlighted the robust support provided by THDCIL, stating, “The academy is a testament to our commitment to fostering talent and creating opportunities for athletes to excel on international platforms. This is a proud moment for both India and THDCIL.”
