Rishikesh: Shaillinder Singh, Director (Personnel), THDC India Limited, graced the 16th Induction Ceremony of the Udayan Shalini Fellowship as the Chief Guest at Welham Girl’s School, Dehradun. Sh. Shaillinder Singh, Director (Personnel) in his address acknowledged the remarkable efforts of Dr. Kiran Modi, the visionary founder of Udayan Care Trust, for her unwavering commitment to ‘Making Young Lives Shine.’ Udayan Care aims to bring sunshine into the lives of underserved sections of society that require intervention. Registered in 1994 as a Public Charitable Trust, Udayan Care works to empower vulnerable children, women and youth, in 36 cities across 15 states of India.
During the induction ceremony, Sh. Shaillinder Singh, felicitated the 40 young Shalinis selected for Udayan Shalini Fellowship Program with certificates.
During the occasion, highlighting the paramount importance of education and empowerment, Sh. Shaillinder Singh shared a powerful quote: “Educate a woman, and you educate a generation.” These words underlined the critical role that women play in shaping the future.
The Director also illuminated a remarkable transformation underway in India, where young women are courageously dismantling gender biases and attaining greatness across various domains. His resounding message was crystal clear: “Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams. You hold the blueprint for your destiny.”
Moreover, Sh. Shaillinder Singh called upon all Shalinis to extend their hands in service to society, to be beacons of compassion and catalysts for change. This spirit closely aligns with THDC’s enduring values of community and service.
He concluded with an inspiring call to action, inviting everyone to embark on this transformative journey together. By offering mutual support and empowerment, we can collectively fashion a world where each individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
