THDC Extends MoRTH Consultancy for Landslide Mitigation in Uttarakhand

Rishikesh, 28-02-2025: THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has reaffirmed its role as a key player in infrastructure safety by extending its consultancy services with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Dehradun, for an additional three years. This extension, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), underscores THDCIL’s expertise in slope stabilization and landslide mitigation across critical highway projects in Uttarakhand.

Under this agreement, THDCIL will conduct studies on landslide susceptibility, recommend mitigation measures, and provide detailed designs and technical reports for vulnerable highway stretches, including the Chardham route, Kailash Mansarovar route, and other National Highways in Uttarakhand. The project is expected to generate approximately ₹40 crores in revenue.

Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, CMD, THDCIL, highlighted the company’s growing reputation as a leading consultancy in geotechnical solutions, integrating flexible and conventional stabilization methodologies to enhance road infrastructure safety. Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), emphasized the use of advanced geotechnical solutions to address site-specific challenges effectively.

The MoU was signed by Sh. Sandeep Singhal, ED (Technical), THDCIL, and Sh. Deepak Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer & RO, MoRTH Dehradun, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Beyond Uttarakhand, THDCIL is actively engaged in similar consultancy assignments with MoRTH Arunachal Pradesh, MoRTH West Bengal, NHAI J&K, MoRTH Maharashtra, NHAI Pune, NHAI Shillong, UK State PWD, and NHIDCL. Additionally, it is providing critical slope protection and rockfall mitigation solutions for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Boards, reinforcing its commitment to infrastructure resilience across India.
