New Delhi : In a significant stride towards sustainable development, the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) joined hands with GIZ, Germany, to host a Workshop on ‘Decarbonisation of India’s Public Sector Enterprises and the Role of Green Hydrogen’ at the SCOPE Complex in New Delhi.
The inaugural session saw esteemed speakers including Shri Ajay Yadav (IAS), Joint Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Dr. Stephan Hesselmann, Minister Counsellor of Economic Affairs at the German Embassy, and Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman of SCOPE & CMD of GAIL (India) Ltd., among others.
Presentations and discussions were led by representatives from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Indo-German Energy Forum, MNRE, MoEFCC, European Investment Bank, World Bank, KfW Development Bank, and industry experts, exploring topics such as green hydrogen, India’s readiness, and climate finance.
With over 300 participants from 45 Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) attending both physically and virtually, the workshop underscores a collective commitment towards sustainable practices and leveraging green technologies for a cleaner future.
