(Ansari Z. A.) Bangalore: Prime Minister of India demonstrated, once again, why he is considered a world leader when he mentioned the recent devastating earthquake in Turkiye. He was inaugurating the India Energy Week being held in Bengaluru from 6th to 8th Feb., 2023. While touching on the various aspects of world energy scenario he emphasized on renewables and green sources. He mentioned that more than 60 Million people visit petrol pumps in India daily and a nation of 1.4 Billion plus has to be insulated against global price rise so that energy is accessible at affordable cost. Earlier, in his welcome remarks, India’s role in global energy transition while ensuring, amongst other aspects, energy security and affordability. He further said that IEW comes as a watershed in the global energy landscape. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka and His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka were present, amongst other dignitaries, during the inauguration.
