Rishikesh, 15-01-2024-In a recent development, Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited, visited the Tehri region to conduct a thorough review of the Nation’s First 1000 MW Variable Speed Pumped Storage Project. Accompanied by key personnel including Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), and Sh. L. P. Joshi, HOP (TC), the meeting addressed ongoing activities at critical project locations. Sh. Vishnoi emphasized the government’s commitment to harnessing renewable energy and praised the progress of the 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Project, stating it aligns with the nation’s goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
Sh. Vishnoi highlighted the project’s significance in contributing to the country’s net-zero carbon emissions commitment and ensuring 24*7 affordable power supply. He expressed satisfaction with the overall progress and directed the project team to maintain momentum towards completion. Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), affirmed THDCIL’s commitment to excellence and environmental responsibility.
