POWERGRID Sees Growth in Q1FY25 Financials
New Delhi, 26.07.2024 – Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY25, demonstrating solid performance. On a consolidated basis, the company reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹3,724 crore and Total Income of ₹11,280 crore, reflecting a 3.52% increase in PAT and a slight 0.20% rise in Total Income compared to the previous year.
For the same period, POWERGRID’s standalone results showed a PAT of ₹3,412 crore and Total Income of ₹10,850 crore. The company invested ₹4,615 crore in capital expenditures and capitalized assets worth ₹2,320 crore, excluding foreign exchange rate fluctuations. As of June 30, 2024, its Gross Fixed Assets on a consolidated basis totaled ₹2,77,213 crore.
In terms of infrastructure, POWERGRID boasts 1,77,790 CKM of transmission lines, 278 substations, and 5,28,761 MVA of transformation capacity. The company achieved a high average transmission system availability of 99.80% during Q1FY25. The ongoing projects and successful competitive bids have bolstered its project pipeline, now exceeding ₹1,14,000 crore, including six ISTS TBCB projects valued at around ₹24,855 crore.
