This appointment marks a new chapter in OIL’s financial leadership, as Shri Majumder succeeds Shri Harish Madhav, who superannuated on June 30, 2024.
With over 32 years of experience in finance, Shri Majumder brings expertise in Financial Management, Corporate Governance & Compliance, Risk Management, Project Management, and Corporate Business Development. His illustrious career includes notable stints as:
– Senior Officer at OIL since 1998
– Head of Project Finance Department in OIL’s Bay Exploration Project
– Deputation in DGH, India’s upstream regulator
– CFO at HPOIL Gas Private Limited, a joint venture between OIL and HPCL
A distinguished member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India, Shri Majumder holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, law (LLB), and a postgraduate diploma in Forex Management from ICFAI. He is also an alumnus of the IICA Valuation Certificate Program.
