OIL and IGGL Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost North-East India’s Energy Infrastructure

In a significant move to enhance the energy landscape of North-East India, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Indra Dhanus Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) have signed a landmark hook-up agreement. This collaboration aims to connect OIL’s natural gas fields in upper Assam to the Duliajan Feeder Line of the North-East Gas Grid, facilitating the evacuation of natural gas from OIL’s DSF block in Tripura through IGGL’s 12″ NB x 86 km Agartala-Tulamura pipeline.

This strategic partnership underscores OIL’s commitment to driving a gas-based economy and strengthening the region’s energy infrastructure. The agreement was signed on August 31, 2024, at OIL’s field headquarters in Duliajan, in the presence of top officials from both companies.
