NHPC is organizing ‘Maitri Cup 2023’ T20 Cricket tournament from 27th to 28th January 2023 at Vijay Yadav Residential Cricket Academy, Faridabad. Shri U.S. Sahi, Executive Director (CC), NHPC inaugurated the tournament in presence of Shri Vijay Yadav, former Indian cricketer, and senior NHPC officers on 27th January 2023.
A total of three teams including NHPC, NHDC (A Joint Venture of NHPC & Govt. of Madhya Pradesh), and CVPPPL (Joint Venture Company of NHPC & JKSPDC) are participating in the tournament. The tournament has been organized by NHPC with a view of promoting of sports activities and healthy competition amongst its employees. In the tournament’s opening match, CVPPPL won against NHDC by 4 wickets. In the tournament’s second match, NHPC defeated CVPPPL by 23 runs.
