NHPC observes 131stbirth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar

Shri Mukul Kanitkar, National Organising Secretary, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal alongwith Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, Shri Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Independent Director and other senior officials during special programme under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ organized to commemorate 131^stbirth anniversary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad on 18^thApril 2022.

NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company organized a special programme under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the 131^stbirth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at its Corporate Office, Faridabad on 18^thApril, 2022.Shri Mukul Kanitkar, National Organising Secretary, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal was the Chief guest on the occasion. Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC was the Special guest for the programme.

The programme began with paying of floral tributes to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar by Shri Mukul Kanitkar, National Organising Secretary, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal alongwith Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, Shri Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Independent Director and other senior officials. Shri Mukul Kanitkar delivered a special lecture on the principles and achievements of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and gave a deep insight into various aspects of Dr. Ambedkar’s life. He further asked everyone to study the life of Dr. Ambedkar more deeply. Speaking on the occasion Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC briefly highlighted NHPC’s activities in the field of hydropower and its foray into solar and wind power. He further expressed his gratitude to Shri Mukul Kanitkar for sharing his thoughts onDr. Ambedkar and asked everyone to incorporate the teachings of Dr. Ambedkar in their daily lives. The programme was viewed live across all NHPC Regional Offices, Power Stations and Projects through web-casting and all NHPC employees greatly benefitted from the special lecture given by Shri Mukul Kanitkar.
