NHPC, a renowned ‘Navratna’ enterprise under the Government of India, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Honorary Award’ for its exceptional contributions to the development of renewable energy in Uttar Pradesh. The accolade was presented at the State Leadership Meet held in Lucknow on September 27, 2024, acknowledging NHPC’s remarkable efforts in fostering sustainable energy in the region.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects) of NHPC, accepted the award on behalf of the company. In his keynote address, Shri Singh highlighted NHPC’s ongoing commitment to renewable energy projects and its significant role in advancing green energy across India. He provided insights into the various initiatives undertaken by NHPC to promote the adoption of clean energy, particularly in Uttar Pradesh.
The recognition further strengthens NHPC’s leadership position in India’s renewable energy sector, showcasing its proactive approach toward helping the country meet its renewable energy targets. Senior officials from NHPC and BSUL were also in attendance, signifying a collective dedication to the region’s sustainable energy growth.
