NBCC and Navodaya Vidyalaya Join Hands for Green Educational Growth

NBCC (India) Ltd. and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to drive a major educational development initiative. The collaboration will see NBCC constructing three new permanent campuses in Delhi, alongside the installation of sustainable solar and electric water heating systems in 331 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India. The total project value stands at Rs. 227.37 crore.

The agreement was formalized by Shri K.V. Reddy, General Manager of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, and Shri Anil Kumar, Chief General Manager of NBCC, in the presence of key dignitaries from both organizations. This partnership underscores a shared vision for strengthening India’s educational infrastructure through eco-friendly solutions.

Project Highlights:

1. New Campuses in Delhi: NBCC will construct three modern campus facilities, including the phased development of JNV Narela (Rs. 39.36 crore), JNV Shahdara (Rs. 74.56 crore), and JNV East Delhi (Rs. 74.99 crore). These institutions are set to become hubs of educational excellence, fostering an innovative and engaging learning environment.
2. Sustainable Energy Across India: In line with environmental priorities, NBCC will install solar and electric water heating systems in 331 schools. With a value of Rs. 38.45 crore, this initiative aims to cut operational costs, reduce the carbon footprint, and promote energy efficiency across the Navodaya Vidyalaya network.

NBCC continues to strengthen its position as a leader in educational infrastructure, following previous successes in projects such as IIM Sambalpur and AIIMS Bilaspur. This MoU further enhances its commitment to sustainable, large-scale educational projects that improve student opportunities and promote resource efficiency.
