New Delhi, October 30, 2024: In a significant achievement, NBCC (India) Ltd, a Navratna CPSE, and its subsidiary Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), a Miniratna CPSE, handed over a record dividend of ₹77 crore to the Government of India for the fiscal year 2023-24. NBCC contributed approximately ₹70 crore, while HSCL added ₹7 crore. This is the highest dividend payment ever made by the two public sector companies.
The dividend cheque was presented to Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Minister of Power, by Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman & Managing Director of NBCC and Chairman of HSCL. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Srinivas Katikithala, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), along with senior officials from NBCC and HSCL.
Prominent figures attending the event included Shri Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), Shri Suman Kumar, Director (Commercial), and Shri Ravi Kumar Arora, Government Nominee Director of NBCC and Joint Secretary, MoHUA. The record dividend underscores the pivotal role played by both companies in contributing to the nation’s economic growth and infrastructure development.
