Rishikesh:THDC India Limited achieved another prestigious milestone with the successful lowering of Stator (250 MW, weight: 321Ton) in the Generator Pit of Unit # 07 (3rd Unit) of 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant (PSP) on 30th May at 18:00Hrs. With this, THDCIL has progressed one step closer towards the Commissioning of India’s first variable speed Pumped Storage Plant (4X250 MW).
During this prestigious event, Sh. L.P Joshi, Executive Director (Tehri Complex & Arunachal Pradesh Projects), and other senior officials of THDCIL and M/s GEPIL were present. Sh. L.P Joshi, ED (Tehri Complex) & Head of PSP Project congratulated the entire team of PSP for putting their sincere & concerted efforts towards the achievement of this milestone. He expressed his gratitude to all persons associated directly or indirectly with the execution of this prestigious Project of its kind.
Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with the commissioning of Tehri Dam HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan and 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
