As India moves towards a more sustainable energy future, industry experts believe that strengthening domestic gas production and diversifying energy sources will be crucial in meeting the nation’s growing energy needs.
Besides, coverage of Natural Gas In GST and level playing field for CNG/LNG vehicles in terms of GST rates and regulatory push will gave a major fillip to gas consumption in the country.
GAIL has taken many initiatives recently, besides core areas, aligned to the Nation’s priorities viz. Commissioned country’s first MW scale Green Hydrogen electrolyser, Commissioned country’s first small-scale Natural gas liquification plant, putting-up country’s first Propane Dehydrogenation Polypropylene plant, advanced net zero target from 2040 to 2035, increased start-up fund from ₹100 cr to ₹500 cr., setting up own R&D centre etc.
