Manipur : In a spirited initiative to nurture talent and celebrate the vibrant sports culture of Manipur, the Indian Army has proudly launched the Kwakta Football Tournament 2025 at the Kwakta Football Ground in Bishnupur District. The tournament, running from 19 to 31 January 2025, is a remarkable effort to inspire fitness, teamwork, and unity among the youth of the region.
The grand opening ceremony on 19 January 2025 witnessed the presence of senior Indian Army officials and respected community leaders, marking the beginning of an event that promises thrilling competition and a celebration of community spirit. Sixteen dynamic teams from Kwakta and its surrounding areas are set to compete in a league-cum-knockout format. League matches will unfold between 19 and 27 January, followed by intense Quarterfinals on 28 and 29 January, Semifinals on 30 January, and an electrifying Final on 31 January 2025.
This initiative shines as a testament to the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to fostering youth empowerment, sportsmanship, and harmony in Manipur.
