A new company has been born in the state of Rajasthan under the Psu Thdc India Limited. in a telephonic discussion with newsip Mr Vishnoi claim that the stack pattern of the new company will be in two parts. 26 percent stack own of the state government of the Rajasthan and 74 percent stack will be own by THDC India Limited.
The company will be known as “ TREDCO RAJASTHAN LIMITED” it will be a Joint Venture Company of THDC India Ltd. (Mini Ratna, Schedule-A PSU of Ministry of Power, GoI) and RRECL (A State PSU of Govt. of Rajasthan), it has been incorporated under Companies Act 2013 and registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, CMD, THDCIL who is also ex-officio Chairman of the newly incorporated TREDCO RAJASTHAN LIMITED announced its launch as a Joint Venture Company for development, operation, and maintenance of Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks (UMREPP) of 10,000 MW Capacity in the State of Rajasthan. An estimated investment of Rs 40,000 crores is proposed by TREDCO RAJASTHAN LIMITED on developing these UMREPPs, he stated.
As solar and wind are variable energy sources and difficult to align with demand, integration of Wind and Solar energy with conventional hydro power and energy storage projects is required. THDCIL has a big presence in the field of Hydro, Thermal, and Wind energy and is now venturing in Pump Storage Projects as well as Green Hydrogen technology. The power generated by the solar/ wind energy installations in these UMREPPs shall be used for operation of THDCIL’s own Pump Storage Plants (PSP) across India, or by government entities, either directly or through distribution companies. Power purchase agreements for the generated energy will be signed through suitable mechanism based on market opportunities. THDCIL’s officer Sh. R. K. Semwal, AGM (In-charge) Solar Power Rajasthan added that the projects will bring about massive socio-economic development in the project areas and also open up avenues of direct and indirect employment to thousands of local people. Sh. Semwal also said that our objective is to make a real difference in people’s lives by generating sustainable renewable energy. We believe that, by working together with our partners and stakeholders, we can create a better future for all. Divulging further details, he said that we shall endeavour to make solar energy tariff more attractive by the use of state-of-the-art technology and R&D efforts. He expressed gratitude to the Government of India and the State Government for promulgating policies promoting green energy. The launch of new JV company definitely marks a significant milestone in the THDCIL’s journey and paves the way for the delivery of its ambitious projects.
