The second edition of India Energy Week 2024 concluded successfully in Goa , paving the way for the next global energy conclave in New Delhi from February 11-14. Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, announced that the fourth edition in 2026 will return to Goa at the IPSHEM, ONGC Training Institute.
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the four-day event featured global oil, gas, biofuels, and renewable companies, facilitating collaboration and innovation. The Highlights of India Energy Week 2024 Goa include PM Modi’s emphasis on India’s commitment to unprecedented energy sector investment and the inauguration of the integrated Sea Survival Training Centre in Goa.
Key events on Day 2 included the International Energy Agency’s report forecasting India as the largest source of global oil demand growth between 2024 and 2030. Petronet LNG’s CEO Akshay Kumar Singh highlighted the dependence on affordable pricing for India’s natural gas goals.
On Day 3, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri praised technology innovations and announced India’s achievement of 12% ethanol blending ahead of schedule, revising the target to 20% by 2025. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited launched ‘Pure for Sure’ to enhance last-mile delivery efficiency.
The successful Goa edition of The Indian Energy Week garnered commendation for its organization and professional execution from all over. While acknowledging the efforts of the MoP&NG, various corporates, and Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Puri ji many believed that the Energy Week show cased Indian Energy as never before.
