ICC members and their families to get free world-class facilities at ICC Centre: Qureshi panel

In a dramatic turn of events, the Qureshi panel led by Sirajuddin Qureshi has embarked on an ambitious journey to capture the coveted seats in the India Islamic Culture Centre (IICC) elections. Candidates of the panel gathered at Ansari Auditorium in Okhla, Delhi to showcase their vision and skills.

Making an oblique reference to the allegations against Qureshi, Janab Yusuf Merathi passionately defended his leader, saying, “History is witness that IICC has never been a platform for political conspiracies.” He referred to the allegations of Qureshi’s alleged links to Israel, BJP and RSS, calling them baseless.

Another prominent figure Feroz Bakht emphasised that electoral success cannot be bought by mere dinner invitations. He advocated a more judicious use of resources, hinting at the futility of superficial gestures.

After the victory of Sirajuddin panel, the issue of providing free facilities in the Islamic Culture Centre to its members and their families and not charging fees from the members was also raised loudly. Another speaker also stressed that the way the right to vote was taken away from 2000 members, this right will be returned to them immediately after the victory.

It is too early to say anything about the fate of the Qureshi panel during the electoral battle. Will they emerge victorious or will their dreams remain a mere myth? Only time will tell.
