A source has revealed that reference has been made by the Office of Finance & Corporate Affairs to the appropriate officer regarding a complaint raised to them. The matter has been dealt with utmost discretion. In fact a letter dated 27.09.2024, had been written as a complaint which was duly forwarded to concerned official for appropriate action. The source revealed that it was regarding an alleged complaint against a person holding a Board Level position in HPCL.
The Complaint is essentially regarding the purchase of land for CNG Pumps during the earlier tenure of the concerned Director. It is alleged that the land was acquired at many times the cost when the impued Director was in a different Company. This land was actually cited at much high price than its actual cost.The entire deal was irregular and fishy.
Sources have also suggested that all out efforts are being made to keep the entire deal under the carpet.The truth will definitely emerge once detailed investigations are carried out expeditiously. HPCL is yet to comment in the matter.
