A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for “Cooperation in exploration and development of Pumped Hydro Storage and other Renewable Projects” was signed between NHPC Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) on 15th December’2023. The signatories of the MoU were Sh. Rajat Gupta, Executive Director (SBD&C), NHPC Limited and Sh. Debdulal Adhikari, Executive Director (JV&BD).
The signing ceremony was attended by Sh. Suresh Kumar, General Manager ( C), SBD&C, NHPC and Sh. Harsh Nupur Joshi, GGM (E), Head New Energy (Renewables), ONGC and other Senior officers from both organizations.
The MoU aims to foster a long-term cooperation between NHPC and ONGC for exploring and setting up of Pumped Hydro Storage and other Renewable Energy Projects in the country.
The aims of this MOU are:
To establish a framework for negotiations between NHPC and ONGC for exploring and setting up Pumped Hydro Storage and other Renewable Energy Projects in the country.
To leverage the expertise and resources of both parties in the field of sustainable industrial development and energy security.
To foster a long-term cooperation and partnership between NHPC and ONGC for mutual benefit and social good.
