CMD NBCC Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy Elected as SCOPE Chairman


New Delhi: The results of the SCOPE Biennial Elections 2025-27 have been announced, with Shri K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman & Managing Director of NBCC (India) Ltd., securing the position of Chairman, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE). Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, CMD, Goa Shipyard Ltd., has been chosen as the Vice Chairman.
The declaration was made by Shri Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE, and Returning Officer, in the presence of senior representatives from various public sector enterprises. The newly elected leadership will assume responsibilities from 1st April 2025, ushering in a new phase of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of state-owned enterprises in India’s economic development.
The executive board, comprising key figures from leading PSEs, includes Shri Manoj Jain (CMD, BEL), Shri Shantanu Roy (CMD, BEML), Shri Tajinder Gupta (Director, BHEL), Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi (Director, POWERGRID), Shri Anil Kumar Jadli (Director, NTPC), Shri Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri (CMD, Balmer Lawrie), Shri Ayush Gupta (Director, GAIL), Ms. Usha Singh (Director, MOIL), Shri Arvind Kumar (Director, IOCL), Shri Uttam Lal (Director, NHPC), Shri Lokesh Kumar Aggarwal (Director, ITDC), Shri Manish Patil (Director, ONGC), Ms. Sangeeta Ramrakhyani (Director, CWC), Ms. Rashmi Govil (Director, IOCL), Shri Krishna Kumar Singh (Director, SAIL), Shri Lalit Kumar Gupta (CMD, Cotton Corporation), Shri S.B. Mohanty (CMD & Director, IREL), and Shri Barenya Senapati (Director, HAL).

Announcing the results, Shri Sobti highlighted the overwhelming participation of public sector enterprises in the election process, reflecting a strong commitment to SCOPE’s objectives. He emphasized that the new leadership brings a wealth of experience, which will be instrumental in driving policy advocacy, innovation, and industry-wide collaboration.
With the transition in leadership, a renewed focus on modernization, operational efficiency, and global competitiveness is anticipated. The incoming board is expected to implement progressive measures that will enhance the public sector’s contribution to India’s growth trajectory.
