If Muslim countries do not wake up now, it will be too late by tomorrow-Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind
Israel is depriving the oppressed Palestinians of their right to liveWhy is the international community and human rights organizations silent on the recent barbaric acts and barbarism of Israel? Maulana Arshad Madani
New Delhi Maulana Arshad Madani, President of the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on the oppressed Palestinians, calling it an act of cruelty and barbarism, describing the attacks as a serious attack on humanity. He said that the truth is that due to the silence of the international community and especially the Muslim countries, Israel is now making a vicious attempt to deprive the unarmed and helpless Palestinian people of their right to live.
Maulana Madani said that the world could not dare to deny the historical fact that Israel is a usurper country which has occupied the land of Palestine with the backing of some world powers. And now, as a result of this silence, Israel seeks to wipe out the Palestinian people from this land.
He said that since its occupation, Israel has been oppressing the Palestinian people. There have been countless attempts at reconciliation and settlement, but all of them have been in vain. As a result of the covert support of some powerful countries, Israel has been trampling on the resolutions passed by the United Nations on Palestine from time to time.
“And now after the establishment of diplomatic relations with Muslim countries, Israel’s malicious daring has increased so much that it does not hesitate to target Palestinian men and women even innocent children engaged in worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque,” said Maulana Madani.
Maulana Madani said it is due to our indifference and silence. If we, the Muslim countries, had initially assessed the importance and seriousness of this issue and developed an effective joint strategy for Palestine, Israel could not dare to oppress Palestinian people. He termed the latest attacks as a serious attack on human rights and said that even today’s civilized world, which claims to be the herald of world peace and unity, is silent on it.
He said that there is no problem in the world which cannot be solved through dialogue, adding that the international community, especially the powerful countries of the world which are permanent members of the United Nations, could find a peaceful and acceptable solution to this problem if they were sincere.
Maulana Madani also said that extremism of Israel and its dangerous plans for the future show that it is a war between Zionism and Islam, and perhaps that is why no one, be it the European Union, the international community or the influential countries of the world, speaks openly about the rights of the Palestinians. On the other hand, such Israeli actions are a major impediment in the way of peace efforts throughout the region.
He appealed to the United Nations, the European Union, the World Muslim League, the Government of India and all international organizations that they must take strong action against Israel’s aggressive terrorism, as well as expel the Israeli army from the confines of Al-Aqsa Mosque without any delay and stop its interference in East Jerusalem.
Maulana Madani finally tried to call Muslim countries in open words by saying that if they remain silent then this issue will not be limited to the borders of Palestine. If Muslim countries do not wake up now, it will be too late by tomorrow.
