NHPC CMD Highlights New Energy and Inclusivity at ‘Vasant Utsav 2025’

Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC, addressed the gathering at Vasant Utsav 2025, emphasizing that spring is not just a season but a symbol of renewal, fresh opportunities, and boundless possibilities. As the festival coincided with International Women’s Day, he paid tribute to the power of women, acknowledging their crucial role in shaping families, society, and the nation. On this occasion, a booklet titled Hausle Ki Udaan, highlighting the achievements of NHPC’s specially-abled employees, was also released.

The festival was organized on March 8 at NHPC’s Residential Complex, Surajkund, Faridabad, to celebrate the arrival of spring and showcase India’s rich cultural heritage. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Bhanu Bharti, President, NHPC Mahila Kalyan Samiti, in the presence of NHPC’s senior leadership, including Shri Rajendra Prasad Goyal, Director (Finance), Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), and Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical), along with esteemed members of the NHPC Mahila Kalyan Samiti.

A captivating musical performance by renowned folk singer Ms. Maithili Thakur and her team was the highlight of the evening, leaving the audience mesmerized. Various stalls, set up by NHPC’s power stations, projects, and regional offices, displayed traditional handicrafts, regional cuisines, and cultural art forms from different states and Union Territories, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam.

By hosting Vasant Utsav 2025, NHPC has once again demonstrated its dedication to fostering cultural heritage, social inclusivity, and employee engagement. The event served as a reminder that corporate success is not just about business achievements but also about building a more inclusive and culturally enriched workplace
