World’s largest grain storage project in cooperative sector to be implemented by NBCC

New Delhi, December 13th, 2023: A framework Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by NBCC, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the construction of world’s largest grain storage plan in the cooperative sector. The project management consultancy services on EPC Model will be rendered by NBCC, which has been associated by NCDC for this purpose.
The project involves the construction of 1469 grain storage units across various states of India with an approximate value of Rs 1500 crore. These units will be built using innovative building technologies.
We are delighted to be a part of creation and strengthening the agri-infrastructure in the country. We believe such initiatives will be instrumental in helping the farmers of the country in getting access to proper storage facilities, especially in the rural areas.
