SJVN, a leading hydropower company, has achieved remarkable results in the financial year 2022-23. The company recorded its highest-ever revenue of Rs. 3299 Crores, marking a significant increase of 25.62% compared to the previous year.
The Profit After Tax (PAT) also witnessed substantial growth, reaching Rs. 1363.45 crores, a 39.48% increase from FY 2021-22. Additionally, the Profit Before Tax surged to Rs. 1732.13 crores, showcasing a growth of 28.93%.
Another notable achievement for SJVN is the increase in Earnings Per Share (EPS) from Rs. 2.49 per share in 2021-22 to Rs. 3.47 per share in 2022-23. This positive trend is further reinforced by the declaration of a dividend of Rs. 1.77 per share for the financial year.
The company’s power stations also displayed exceptional performance. The Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station achieved a remarkable Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 106.653%. Meanwhile, the Charanka Solar Power Station achieved the highest Annual Generation of 8.75 MU in FY 2022-23.
SJVN’s commitment to sustainability is evident through its achievements in renewable energy. The company signed Power Purchase Agreements for a 200 MW Solar Power Project Capacity with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and for a 100 MW Wind Power Capacity with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited. Additionally, a Power Usage Agreement for the supply of 500 MW Solar power from the ongoing 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project has been signed with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited.
Not only has SJVN excelled in financial performance and renewable energy, but it has also made significant strides in corporate social responsibility (CSR). The company spent Rs. 59.84 crores on CSR activities in FY 2022-23, surpassing its statutory obligation by Rs. 23.38 crores.
With a current installed capacity of 2091.50 MW, SJVN continues to expand its presence in the energy sector. The company has achieved ISO 31000:2018 certification for implementing a Risk Management System, making it the first CPSE to do so.
