New Delhi, Sep 25: NHPC Limited, held a brainstorming session on ‘Best Practices in Vigilance Administration including Innovative Systemic Improvements’ at its corporate office in New Delhi on Monday. The session was organized as a prelude to the Vigilance Awareness Week–2023 celebrations under the guidance of Shri Santosh Kumar, IFS, Chief Vigilance Officer, NHPC.
The session aimed at sharing and learning from the experiences and initiatives of various Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) and organizations under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, in strengthening the vigilance administration and promoting a culture of integrity and transparency. The session also focused on identifying the areas of improvement and innovation in the vigilance system and processes.
The session was attended by Chief Vigilance Officers / Deputy Chief Vigilance Officers from 12 CPSUs/organizations under the Ministry of Power, namely NTPC, PGCIL, PFC, REC, SJVN, THDCIL, BBMB, CEA, CERC, POSOCO, EESL and BEE. The participants presented their best practices and systemic improvements in vigilance administration and discussed the challenges and opportunities in implementing them. The session also witnessed an interactive discussion among the participants on various aspects of vigilance such as preventive vigilance, punitive vigilance, e-governance, online complaint handling, awareness generation, etc.
The session was well appreciated by all the participants who found it highly informative and beneficial. They expressed their gratitude to NHPC for organizing such a useful and timely programme. They also expressed their hope that such sessions would be organized more frequently to foster mutual learning and collaboration among the CPSUs/organizations under the Ministry of Power.
