New Delhi, 14 August 2023: Punjab National Bank (PNB), a leading public sector bank, organized a Walkathon on Sunday as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to celebrate Independence Day. This initiative was inspired by the Government of India’s campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aiming to foster a closer connection to the Indian National Flag among citizens.
PNB’s MD&CEO, Shri Atul Kumar Goel, alongside senior officials and bank staff, participated in the Walkathon, which began from the PNB Head Office in Dwarka.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Atul Kumar Goel, MD&CEO, of Punjab National Bank, expressed, “We’re pleased to commemorate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign through the PNB Walkathon. This event pays homage to our valiant martyrs, a reminder of our commitment to building an inclusive, tolerant, and self-sufficient nation. To enhance this day’s significance and remind us to be better citizens, we request all fellow countrymen to proudly display our beloved TIRANGA at their homes.”
PNB officials not only distributed and raised awareness about the Indian National Flag as part of the campaign, but they also reiterated their commitment to uphold the honour and dignity of the TIRANGA.
