NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 under the theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ with great enthusiasm at its Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Power Stations, Projects and Units under Mission LiFE. A plantation program was organized at the NHPC Corporate Office wherein Shri R. P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC and other Senior Officers planted saplings of various tree species. After the plantation programme, Director (Finance) also administered the pledge of World Environment Day to the officers and employees for conservation of environment. On this occasion, a walkathon was also organized to spread awareness on Environment Conservation amongst NHPC employees.
