Energy Vision and Pathways shared by Prime Minister in IEW23

(Ansari Z. A.) Bangalore: Prime Minister of India demonstrated, once again, why he is considered a world leader when he mentioned the recent devastating earthquake in Turkiye. He was  inaugurating the India Energy Week being held in Bengaluru from 6th  to 8th Feb., 2023. While touching on the various aspects of world energy scenario he emphasized on renewables and  green sources. He mentioned that more than 60 Million people visit petrol pumps in India daily and a nation of 1.4 Billion plus has to be insulated against global price rise so that energy is accessible at affordable cost. Earlier, in his welcome remarks, India’s role in global energy transition while ensuring, amongst other aspects, energy security and affordability. He further said that IEW comes as a watershed in the global energy landscape. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka  and His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka were present, amongst other dignitaries, during the inauguration.

A major world event, India Energy Week is poised to becoming  a global hub for the next few days. Eminent energy experts, scientists, business leaders and bureaucrats will take centre stage to discuss one of the most crucial aspects of modern human existence and endeavors. The energy domain was never so much in the face as of now and the headwinds brought about by war in Europe has added complications. All eyes of the energy watchers will be glued for the next three days on the various exciting events and talks scheduled. India can have a lot of takeaways and get the pulse of the energy giants and the way things will shape in the near future. To say that the energy world is going to remain bipolar will also not be correct. Multiple layering of the sector is bound to take place in future.
