IndianOil conducts “Suraksha Se Samvriddhi in Delhi in association with Delhi Fire Service and Local Administration

New Delhi:  IndianOil, the Energy of India always works with the motto of “Pehle Indian, Phir Oil“.  It is not only pioneer in various customer centric initiatives but also care of the customers and society at large.

Taking the care aspects of its core values forward, the Corporations took an initiative “Suraksha Se Samvriddhi” in collaboration with Delhi Fire Service and Local Administration.   Under this initiative safety clinics are organised for LPG users specially women in Urban and Rural areas of all 11 Districts of Delhi.  Various places, localities and residential area got covered under this safety awareness training program. The initiative is aimed at creating awareness about safe use of LPG and to avoid untoward incidents. Qualified trainers along with officials of Delhi Fire Service imparted hands-on training.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr Shyam Bohra, Executive Director & State Head, Delhi & Haryana, IndianOil said that the importance of Safety increases manifold not only in Industries but also at household as well because it directly impacts Human life besides health and morale of people. He further added that the awareness is key quotient in promoting safety culture in amongst the people and specially in women folk.

The participants were demonstrated various safety tips for safe and efficient use of LPG.  Women participants learned as how to change LPG cylinder in kitchen, Fix regulator, Check Suraksha hose and how to improve efficiency of LPG.  They also given insight on measures to be taken in case of leakage and fire accident. Live fire demonstration and hands on training on extinguishing of LPG fire was imparted by the Fire Department. IndianOil also imparted in depth training especially to female customers on safe usage of LPG and ways and means to be adopted in case of any threat of LPG leakage or fire.

This Novel initiative from IndianOil in collaboration with the local administration and Delhi Fire Department has been widely appreciated by women and General Public.  Representatives from Delhi Fire Service, Delhi and Delhi Administration were present at the various safety clinics held and so far 27 programs are conducted in the last fortnight of January’23.
