JP Home Buyers Lose Patience, Announce ‘Halla Bol’

Special Correspondent, New Delhi Noida: A section of opportunistic individuals among JP Home Buyers is now being held responsible for a decision that many believe pushed thousands of families toward despair. These individuals, allegedly driven by personal interests, chose to vote in favor of private player Suraksha Group instead of the government-owned NBCC, during the crucial resolution process.
At the time, NewsIP had strongly flagged the issue, warning that such a move could cost buyers their dreams. The sentiment among buyers was that if NBCC—a government-backed entity—had been awarded the project, hope and accountability might have prevailed. Today, those warnings have come true, as over 20,000 home buyers, frustrated and betrayed, are preparing to launch a major protest against JP and the current state of affairs.

The protest, named “Halla Bol”, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, outside the JIL Marketing Office in Sector 128, Noida.

No Signs of Progress 10 Months After Takeover

After taking over JIL, the Suraksha Group had claimed it had access to over ₹3,000 crore in funds and promised speedy construction. However, ten months later, not a single brick has been laid at project sites. No contractors have been mobilized, and buyers say they are receiving fabricated updates on construction progress through official channels.

In a shocking twist, illegal interest and transfer fees are also being charged, despite the lack of any development. Home buyers further allege that JIL’s assets are being diverted elsewhere, and that the performance guarantee promised during the takeover is untraceable.

Widespread Anger, Massive Turnout Expected

The protest is expected to draw thousands of participants, with 774 buyers already confirming attendance. While organizers have committed to a peaceful demonstration, the scale of anger and emotional fatigue is expected to make it one of the most significant real estate protests in recent times.

Clear Demands from Protesters:
• Immediate resumption of full-scale construction
• Transparency from the Suraksha Group
• Removal of illegal charges and protection of buyer rights

From Local Crisis to National Concern

What began as a local real estate dispute in Noida is now being seen as a symbol of India’s larger housing crisis, where countless families are still waiting for homes they paid for over a decade ago. The protest is being positioned as a national call for justice in the real estate sector, with organizers urging media houses to amplify the voices of those who’ve been unheard for far too long.
